Introduction

Survey page is use to create the survey. This is where the survey is actually created. Without creating a survey the template created has no meaning. You need to link the template and regions. There are other features like making the survey visible to users, start and end date of survey. The name mentioned as title will be displayed to the user.

Prerequisite

  1. You should have template which is created and rebuild.
  2. The region to which the survey should be associated with should be created
  3. All the participants that need to respond to this survey should be assigned to the same region as this survey.

Survey List

  1. Show surveys without any regions? : Selecting this checkbox will include the surveys in the list even if they are not associated with any region.
  2. Search : Search existing surveys with their title, start date or end date.
  3. Add : Used to add a new survey.
  4. Edit : Used to edit existing survey settings.
  5. Participation Figure : Shows the number of participants eligible for a survey and the progress of the participants like how many users have completed 1%, 10%, 25% etc.. of the survey and how many have already submitted the survey.
  6. Visibility : Shows the if the survey is active and its visible to users (represented by green tick icon) or inactive (represented by red exclamation icon).
  7. Participant Date Config : Click here to edit the start and end date of the survey for particular participants. It will redirect to Survey Participant Config.

Add Survey

  1. Title : This field holds the title or name of the survey.
  2. Template : Select the template on which your survey should be based on survey.
  3. Start on : Select the date on which you want your survey to start or when you want the survey to be visible to the user(eg:. 2016-05-03 00:00).
  4. End on : Select the date on which you want you survey to end and no longer be visible to the users. If no end date is provided your survey will always remain visible to users.
  5. Don’t close when end date is reached : Select if you want a survey to stay open even after the survey is expired or reached its end date.
  6. Visible to survey users? : Select to make survey visible to all participants.
  7. Web page name : This field holds the name of the survey that will be displayed in the survey URL.
  8. Create : Will create the survey in the system with the details entered on the form..
  9. Cancel : Will take the user back to the Survey List page cancelling the create process.

Edit Survey

  1. Title : This field holds the title or name of the survey.
  2. Template : Select the template on which your survey should be based on survey.
  3. Start on : Select the date on which you want your survey to start or when you want the survey to be visible to the user(eg:. 2016-05-03 00:00).
  4. End on : Select the date on which you want you survey to end and no longer be visible to the users. If no end date is provided your survey will always remain visible to users.
  5. Don’t close when end date is reached : Select if you want a survey to stay open even after the survey is expired or reached its end date.
  6. Visible to survey users? : Select to make survey visible to all participants.
  7. Web page name : This field holds the name of the survey that will be displayed in the survey URL.
  8. Model : Select the option from the dropdown list box whether to close the page or keep it open after user click on submit button.
  9. Requires credit : Select if this survey requires credit with started.
  10. Email on submit : This field hold the email addresses of the managers who should be emailed when a user submits this survey. In case of multiple email ids, separate them with comma(,).
  11. Region : Select Regions to which the survey should be associated with. This survey will only be visible to participants of the region they are associated to.
  12. Locale : Provide the language code for the survey instance.
  13. Update : Will update the survey details modified on the form.
  14. Delete : Will delete the survey. You will be asked for confirmation before deleting the participant. All the data associated for the survey will be lost. However the template to which the survey was associated will remain unaffected.
  15. Cancel : Will take the user back to the Survey List page cancelling the update process.

Why is my survey not visible to participants?

There could 2 different stage in survey cycle where the survey is not visible to participants, If you are setting the new survey or the survey was already visible

In case of 1st scenario, when you are setting up a new survey

  1. For survey not visible could be that Visible to survey users? field is not ticked in Edit Survey page.
  2. There could be a possibility that the region of the survey is not same with your participant’s region. You can check field Region of Edit Survey page and Region field of Edit Participant page. Appropriate survey region should match with participant region.

In case of 2nd scenario, where the survey was already running.

  1. If survey is not visible to participants, it is possible that end date of the survey has already passed. You can check the end dates by going to Edit Survey and look for End on field.

Why don’t I get email when participant submit a survey?

You need to check if your email is mentioned in field Email on submit above Edit Survey. If it is not then please add it.
